At 22 I had a lot to learn. I didn’t know it then, of course, because the one of the hallmarks of being young is that you don’t know what you don’t know.
About that time, I was a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Navy Supply Corps and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I learned a great many business skills, like accounting, payroll inventory, and retail sales. I also learned about business relationships.
Or, really, I learned how not to conduct business relationships.
